With longer working hours, financial pressures and a recent recession it is little surprise that more and more people are feeling stressed-out at work. Achieving at work whilst also managing a happy and healthy life outside of the office is nothing short of spinning plates and it’s little surprise that most of us drop a few occasionally. The result of this: 70% of people are stressed (The Times, Mind, Body & Soul, March 2010) and in 2008 alone 13.5 million working days were lost due to stress, depression and anxiety (The Health and Safety Executive).

The solution:

Laura’s Yoga for Business Professionals Course is a 6 week programme which gives you the tools to manage a stressful job and lessen its impact on your personal life. Laura’s course takes a maximum of 6 students so that you receive a personal and tailored programme which will deliver you results.

This yoga course will introduce you to different yoga techniques and is suitable for beginners as well as more advanced students. The physical practise will be dynamic and on occasions challenging with the intention to boost your heart rate creating the same ‘feel good factor’ that you can get from running where a change is triggered in the brain's biochemistry with increased levels of endorphins.

What you will learn:

During the 6 week course you will be taught how to:

  • Increase your stamina and energy levels
  • Use breathing and relaxation techniques in day to day life
  • Quieten a racing mind
  • Alleviate the symptoms of stress, anxiety and insomnia
  • Improve posture and notice its effect on your self confidence
  • Build core strength and see your self esteem develop
  • Relieve back and shoulder aches after a long day
  • Ease a tension headache
  • Handle nerves before a big meeting / interview etc
